Social Skills

 

We currently offer Social Skills Groups for children and adults.  

 

About the Program:

Social Skills groups are facilitated by experienced Speech Pathologist (s) and Allied Health Assistants.

We incorporate strategies from a range of evidence based programs.  

The groups run continuously throughout the year in the school terms.

We focus on:

  • Forming friendships with peers
  • Recognising and Interpreting verbal and non verbal behaviour in others
  • Taking turns and sharing
  • Listening/attention
  • Conversational skills
  • Making and keeping friends
  • Understanding feelings
  • Regulating Feelings
  • Problem solving in social situations
  • Bullying
  • Advocating for themselves
